"In early May of this year I awoke to almost 2 inches of standing water in the lower floor of my townhome...I had downsized to simplfy life after losing my husband in 2020...I knew suddenly that I was in big trouble when I followed the water into my beautiful living room, all hardwoods throughout, all carpeted closets, baseboards, cabinets, drywall already showing the signs of damage. I was devastated, frightened and thoroughly confused about managing this disaster.
Then I called the number on my State Farm card and an army of workers showed up and started the terrible process of demolishing my home, necessary to find the source of the slab leak, dry out the damage and begin repairs...State Farm relocated me to a suitable local hotel one mile from home and I'm still here three months later. I even have my small dog with me...the work is beginning to look like it will end in the next month or so but it's been a difficult path seeing life turned upside down...until realizing what a blessing "replacement cost insurance" is and how extensive the coverage can be...Fortunately, a qualified general contractor took my project and between him and the State Farm office, Lou Caballero Crawford, the massive project with so much documentation and expense got underway...I want to commend this insurance company, their policies, the staff and communications processes that are getting me through what looked insurmountable at the beginning...it's taken a competent, caring team of people to provide funds to restore my home. It's not over yet but I'm greatly comforted to know that I have the right insurance company and people to keep me from facing a dark future of loss and relocation when I hope to remain in my
current townhome for the duration. So MANY thanks to Lou's team, Linda French, Carol and the multiple others who've steered the restoration. This company has lived up to its reputation, something not every company is living up to these days.
